Marcílio Flávio was born in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, in 1972. He formed a band in 1994 with Edmar Neto on guitar, Roberto Farias on bass, and Edvaldo Santos on drums. Their debut album 'Mais que Palavras' came out in 1997.
That album included 'Em Meio a Esse Vento,' which became one of his most recognized songs. He also recorded 'Precioso É Ele' and 'Vai Ter Surpresa.'
In 1999, the band's bassist Roberto Farias died in a bus accident. After that, Flávio's music reportedly became darker and more introspective.
