Márcio Prado and Benício were a Brazilian duo who started working together in the 1990s. They played romantic ballads and samba rhythms, with Márcio Prado on lead vocals and guitar and Benício on vocals and percussion. Their song 'De Volta Pro Meu Coração' came out in 1998 and became a popular track about longing and reunification.
They released albums like 'Meu Samba' in 2000 and 'Ao Vivo em São Paulo' in 2003. Another song, 'Incompreensão', also appears among their top tracks. The duo performed at local festivals and venues early on, and later collaborated with artists such as Maria Bethânia and Zeca Pagodinho.
Around 2004, Benício was diagnosed with leukemia, which led to postponed performances, but they returned to the stage afterward.
