Marco Aurélio e Paulo Sérgio started putting out music in the early 2000s from Brasília. Their first album came in 2001, and it had a song called "Deusa Menina" that got a lot of attention. That track, along with others like "A Malvada" and "Apaixonado por você," gave them a foothold in Brazilian pop.
They kept releasing albums through the decade, including "Assim" in 2003 and "Identidade" in 2006. The duo worked with a few other artists, like Ivete Sangalo and Xuxa, but mostly stayed focused on their own material. Their songs tended to be romantic ballads with straightforward melodies.
Marco Aurélio handled most of the vocals, and Paulo Sérgio played guitar and wrote much of the music. They were active at least through 2009, when "Novo Tempo" came out. Beyond that, the details thin out.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
