Marco Sena e Rafael came up in the early 2000s playing bars and clubs around their hometown of Ituiutaba in Minas Gerais. Their first album, 'Assim de Repente,' came out in 2008 and got them some wider attention in Brazil's sertanejo scene.
Things really took off with their 2010 album of the same name, 'Eu Jurei.' The title track was a straightforward ballad about unrequited love that connected with a lot of people and became a major hit. It's still the song most associated with them.
They kept putting out albums through the 2010s, like 'Mais Que Amor' in 2012 and 'A Música Que Mata' in 2015. Their sound gradually picked up some pop and rock touches alongside the sertanejo foundation.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
