Marcos Paulo e Juliano are a Brazilian sertanejo duo made up of brothers Marcos Paulo Pereira de Souza and Juliano César de Souza. They released their first album, A Estrada, in 2010, followed by Pra Me Conquistar in 2012. Their third album, Rédéas do Possante, came out in 2014.
That 2014 album gave them their breakthrough with the title track, which became popular with truck drivers. They kept putting out albums every couple of years, including Sou Eu in 2016 and Aqui Tem Amor in 2018. Their songs like Tem Cheiro de Chifre and Solidão are typical of the sertanejo style, dealing with love and rural life.
In 2016, they faced a plagiarism accusation that led to legal issues and a temporary performance ban. They've also drawn criticism for their conservative political stances. Despite these controversies, their music from that period, including tracks like Amante and Boate Azul/Fotografia/Amargurado, remained widely heard.
