Marcos Paulo Ucnoa is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Itajaí, born in 1974. He moved to Rio de Janeiro in his twenties to pursue music. His music draws from MPB, folk, and psychedelic rock, with songs like 'Então Se Verá' and 'Eterno Dependente' reflecting his style. The band has included musicians such as Bruno Marques on drums and Thiago Carreras on bass. Ucnoa's lyrics often touch on spiritual themes and personal reflection.
He has continued releasing albums into the 2010s, with 'Fragmentos' in 2011 and 'Infinito Particular' in 2016. Later work includes 'Amor e Fé' from 2019. His songs 'Firmado Na Rocha' and 'Igual a José' featuring Anderson Freire show his ongoing musical activity in Brazilian popular music circles.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
