Marcos Romero Vasquez

Marcos Romero Vásquez is a Mexican singer-songwriter from Monterrey who came from a musical family. He taught himself guitar and started writing songs early on. In the early 1990s, his debut album 'Maravilloso Mundo' brought him national attention in Mexico.

His most recognizable song is 'Pon Un Arco Iris En Tu Corazón,' which came out in 1993. The title translates to 'Put a Rainbow in Your Heart,' and it became something of an anthem with its straightforward message about finding optimism. He followed it with albums like 'Arcoíris' and 'Mi Mundo.'

In 2003, Vásquez was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder that affected his ability to sing. He went through treatment and eventually returned to performing.
