Marcus Prioste is the lead vocalist for the Brazilian Christian power metal band Ele Vive Ele Reina. The band formed in 2003 with guitarist André Domingues and bassist Fabio Mendes, taking their name from a Spanish translation of a verse in Revelation. Their debut album, 'Vida Eterna,' came out the following year and found an audience in Brazil's Christian metal scene.
Songs like 'Ele Vive Ele Reina' and 'Salmo 128' are typical of their style, which blends heavy guitar work with explicitly devotional lyrics. The band has released several albums since, including 'Promessa' in 2007, 'A Batalha' in 2010, and 'Liberdade' in 2013.
Their straightforward approach to faith in their music has drawn some criticism over time, but they've maintained a consistent lineup and sound. The current members include Prioste on vocals, Domingues on guitar, Mendes on bass, Thiago Mateus on drums, and Leandro Pereira on keyboards.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
