They put out their self-titled debut album in 2005, which mixed samba, rock, and pop. Later records included 2007's 'Carnaval da Liberdade' and 2010's 'Afrodizia'.
Their song 'Dona do Brasil' became particularly well-known. The band's music often addressed social issues, and they were vocal about feminist and LGBTQ+ rights, which sometimes drew criticism. They kept making music through 2014's 'Mulheres em Luta'.
