Mari Jenni was a Brazilian band formed in the 1980s by sisters Mari and Jenni Souza. They started playing music in Belém, a small town in the Amazon region, and released their self-titled debut album in 1995.
Their song "Barco Ao Destino" came out in 1997 and became widely popular in Brazil. The band also recorded other songs like "Estrela Brilhante" and "Labaredas de Fogo."
In 2003, Mari Jenni was involved in a legal dispute over the rights to their music. They released several albums including "Terra" in 2000.
