Archive material and source history
Maria Fatal formed in Rome in the late 1980s, with Alessandro "Ale" Fiori on vocals and guitar, Mario "Mayo" Rubegni on bass, and Orazio "Ringo" Castellani on drums. Their first album, "Incubo," came out in 1992. They put out records fairly regularly after that, including "No Amore" in 1995 and "Senza Tempo" in 2004.
Their song "Portate Mal" became their best-known track. In 1994, the band faced accusations of promoting Satanism over reports of inverted crosses in their stage shows. They kept making music anyway.
Maria Fatal's later work includes "Sessione Fatale" from 2013 and another album called "Portate Mal" in 2020.
