Archive material and source history
Marilou is a Montreal indie-folk band built around singer-songwriter Marie-Pierre Arthur. She writes the lyrics, with Olivier Langevin on guitar and Guillaume Chiasson on drums. Their first album came out in 2016.
Their song '60 Thoughts a Minute' got attention for how it talked about anxiety. In 2018, Arthur spoke publicly about living with bipolar disorder. The band has also been open about their political views, which hasn't always sat well with everyone.
They put out a second album called 'Interphone' in 2019, and a third one in 2022. Other songs include 'Entre les deux yeux' and 'Danser Sur La Lune'.
