Mark Bryan grew up in Burbank, California, listening to The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. He started playing guitar as a teenager and eventually joined Martha Davis to form The Motels in 1979. Their debut album 'Total Control' included the single 'Only the Lonely.'
After The Motels disbanded in 1985, Bryan went solo. His 1987 self-titled album had the track 'A Little More Rock N Roll,' which became his most recognizable song. He recorded and performed through the late 1980s and into the 1990s.
