MARKY was a British band that came up in the early 1990s, anchored by vocalist Mark McCormick. Their debut album 'Alright Now' came out in 1991, and the single 'Johnnie Walker' got them some attention. They put out a few more records like 'The Sun and the Moon' in 1993 and 'Third Time Lucky' in 1995.
Guitarist Richard Ashcroft was in the band early on before leaving to form The Verve. Other members at different points included bassist Dave Berry and drummer Wayne Maher. By the late '90s, they released 'All Change' in 1998, but things had quieted down by then.
They had songs like 'Coração Burro' and 'Boa Que Dói' in their catalog. 'Johnnie Walker' is probably the track people still remember.
