Marlene Strand formed in Stockholm in 2013, with Erika Strand on vocals and keyboards, Adam Strand on guitar and vocals, Jessica Strand on bass, and David Andersson on drums. Their debut album 'Unveiled' came out in 2015, and its lead single 'Roll the Dice' became their breakout track.
After some lineup changes and a vocal injury that delayed their second album, the band released 'Serendipity' in 2018 with new bassist Josefina Strand. They faced plagiarism allegations in 2019 regarding their song 'The Light,' which they denied.
