He joined the Império Serrano samba school in 1999 as a vocalist. He performed with them on the Marquês de Sapucaí stage during Carnival.
One of his recorded performances was 'Império Serrano, 70 Anos de Glórias,' a song marking the school's 70th anniversary. In 2014, he faced accusations of plagiarism over a song called 'O Mundo Tá Velho.'
