Massive Destruction formed in Valparaiso, Chile, in 1986. They were a hardcore punk band known for raw energy and politically charged lyrics. Their debut album "Sin Piedad" came out in 1988. The original lineup included vocalist Gonzalo "Gon" Mueller, guitarist Mauricio "Mauri" Montaldo, bassist Miguel "Mike" Lopez, and drummer Gonzalo "Gonzalo 2" Gonzalez.
They released albums like "Tiempos de Odio" in 1992 and "El Poder Corrupto" in 1995. The band faced censorship and hostility from authorities at times. Mueller, Montaldo, and Lopez remained as a core trio through various lineup changes.
