Massive Ego

Massive Ego formed in the late 1990s, a cybernetic rock band that put out their debut album 'Digital Heroin' in 2001. Their sound mixed industrial beats with ethereal melodies, and they built a following with songs like 'Haters Gonna Hate' and 'Beautiful Suicide.'

Their live shows were known for immersive visuals that pulled from digital art and futurism, which drew both devoted fans and some criticism. The band's core included frontman Ego and guitarist X-Byte, with Megabyte on drums, Binary on bass, and Cypher on keyboards.

They released several albums through the 2000s, including 'Transcendence' in 2003 and 'Singularity' in 2005. Their music often touched on themes around technology and artificial intelligence. The track 'Digital Heroin' became something of an anthem about the addictive pull of digital life.

Massive Ego broke up in 2010 after about a decade together. Their later work experimented with hip-hop and electronica elements, but internal conflicts and financial pressures eventually led to their dissolution.
