Master Ace

Master Ace is the stage name of Duane Mitchell, a rapper from Brooklyn, New York. He started putting out records in the early 1990s, a time when New York hip-hop was particularly crowded. His third album, 'Sleepin' with the Television On,' came out in 1991 and included the track 'Ace Iz Wild,' which became his most recognized song.

That song, along with others like 'Born to Roll' and 'I Got Ta,' helped define his style. He was known for clear, detailed rhymes over straightforward beats. He kept releasing albums through the decade, including 'Slaughtahouse' and 'The L.I.V.E. Report.'

He worked with other artists from the scene, like Nas and Large Professor. While he didn't break through to massive pop charts, he maintained a steady presence with a sound that felt specific to that era of New York rap.
