Matheus Vieira de Oliveira, who performs as Matheus do Acordeon, comes from Ceará in Brazil. He started playing accordion as a teenager, influenced by his father who was also an accordionist. In 2013 he put out his first album, 'Forrozão da Alegria,' which helped establish him in the forró scene.
A few years later, in 2016, he had a breakthrough with the song 'Dona Dos Meus Sentidos.' That track became widely popular across Brazil, turning into something of a national favorite in the genre. Another song, 'Minha Vaqueirinha,' also appears among his most recognized work.
He performs with a band that includes his brother Alexandre on guitar, Bruno on bass, and Ricardo Souza on drums. Their sound sticks to traditional forró rhythms, driven by Matheus's fast, intricate accordion lines. He released a follow-up album in 2015 called 'Na Batida do Coração.'
