Archive material and source history
Matrix (Marc Lugger) and Futurebound (Jamie Quinn) started working together in 2001 after meeting on a compilation project. They put out their first album, "Legion," in 2006, which helped establish their place in drum and bass. A year later, Futurebound was seriously injured in a car accident, but the duo kept making music.
Their track "Happy Alone" with V Bozeman became a hit in 2013. They've also worked with singers like Calum Scott on "Light Us Up" and Tanya Lacey on "Don't Look Back." Other albums include "Universal Truth" from 2009 and "Forward Escape" from 2013.
In 2017, they released "Archives" and won a Drum and Bass Award for "Best Drum and Bass Track" with "Control" featuring Maxsta. They had some label trouble around 2015, but kept recording.
