Matsudappoiyo is a Japanese rock band that formed in 2014. Their debut EP came out in 2016, titled 'Illusionist's Paradise' after the song that appears on it. They followed that with another EP called 'Swallowtail Butterfly' in 2017 and a full-length album named 'Metamorphic' in 2018.
In 2019, the band's album 'Metamorphic' drew some criticism for its lyrics, with a few critics calling them offensive. Matsudappoiyo responded by saying the work reflected their artistic freedom. They've put out more music since then, including an EP called 'Ephemeral' in 2020 and an album titled 'Abyss' in 2022.
