Maury

Maury is a Brazilian band that formed in the late 1990s, led by frontman Mauro Aguiar. Their music draws from Brazilian samba and rock traditions, but they've also incorporated rap, funk, and electronic elements. The band's lineup has included bassist Rodrigo Bastos, drummer Rafael Guimarães, and keyboardist Gustavo Bianchini alongside Aguiar on vocals and guitar.

In 2003, Maury released the single "O Aviso," which became widely known in Brazil. The song addresses social inequality and environmental concerns. Another track, "Partes do Que Parte," features a collaboration with Bruno Odiquei.

Their debut album was called "Caos," and they later released "Unidos para Vencer." Maury has worked with artists including Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, and Martinho da Vila. Their lyrics often engage with political and social themes, which has sometimes drawn attention from conservative groups.
