Mayara Linds

Mayara Linds formed her band in 2010, and they put out their first album, 'Samba Souls,' in 2012. The record got some positive attention for its energy and her vocals, which helped them start playing bigger festivals. A few years later, her song 'To Titi' became a hit, though it also brought some accusations of plagiarism from critics who thought it sounded too much like an older samba tune. Linds said it was her own work, inspired by personal experience, and the track kept getting played anyway.

She's from Rio de Janeiro, and you can hear those Brazilian rhythms in what she does. The band's second album was called 'Magic' and came out in 2014.
