Mc Colibri

Mc Colibri was a Brazilian band that formed in 2000 as a trio with Luciano, Ricardinho, and Nego. Their breakthrough came with the single "Chupa-chupa," which became an instant hit in Brazil with its catchy melody and suggestive lyrics. They released albums like "Olha o Colibri" in 2002 and "Vem Ver o Colibri" in 2004, and collaborated with artists including Belo and Zeca Pagodinho.

The band faced criticism for the suggestive nature of their lyrics and music videos, and their performance at a political rally in 2002 drew accusations of partisanship. Nego left in 2004, followed by Luciano in 2009, leaving Ricardinho as the core member. He recruited new bandmates and eventually rebranded the group as "Colibri."

Songs like "Dendê Agora é TCP," "Ela me Ama," and "Vinho Com Leite Moça" followed, but "Chupa-chupa" remained their most recognizable track. It continues to be played as a party anthem in Brazil, long after the original trio disbanded.
