MC Don Everton

MC Don Everton came up from Vila Cruzeiro, a favela in Rio de Janeiro, where the rhythms of funk carioca shaped his sound. He started writing and performing his own songs around age 16. In 2018, his track 'Me Chama No Whats' broke through with a catchy melody and lyrics that connected with listeners, pushing it up the charts.

That song's success brought him national attention and a major record deal. He followed it with other tracks like 'Brota Na Favela' and 'Atenção'. In 2019, he faced accusations that 'Me Chama No Whats' resembled another song too closely, which he denied. Vai Pro Inferno' in 2019 and 'Coração de Favela' in 2021.

His work often features collaborations with other artists from the scene, like MC Neguin da Q4 on 'Agiu Na Emoção' and Tiaguinhodj Original, MC Tata, and MC Frajola on 'Bum Bundinha'. He performs with a band that includes DJ Batata on turntables and backing vocalists like MC Menor da VG and MC Magrinho.
