MC Jacaré

MC Jacaré came up through Rio de Janeiro's baile funk scene, drawing from the rhythms of funk carioca and artists like MC Marcinho and Mr. Catra. His track "TOMA TAPA" became a major hit, its call-and-response hook catching on widely. He's also known for songs like "Vento Forte (part. DJ TK)" and "Boca de Mel."

His music sometimes drew criticism for its explicit content, while others heard it as a direct reflection of life in the favelas. Beyond his solo work, he has collaborated with artists including Hungria Hip Hop on the track "Pula Pula."
