Mc Nego Bola is Andrey Monreal de Almeida, a Brazilian artist who started making music in Rio de Janeiro's favelas around the mid-2010s. His sound comes from funk carioca, and in 2016 he had a breakout single called "Facebook" that got a lot of attention in Brazil.
His lyrics sometimes drew criticism for being explicit or for social commentary about life in the favelas. In 2017, he was arrested for drug possession, an incident that became part of his public story.
He has released other songs like "Calma" and "Não Vou Deixar," and has worked with other artists including MC Kevin and MC Livinho. He performs solo but works with producers and other musicians.
