MC Neguinho BDP

MC Neguinho BDP came up in Rio de Janeiro's funk scene in the late 1980s. His track 'Bica Na Giratória' with MC Kaverinha, MC RN do Capão, MC Neguin da BRC, and MC GH Magrão became a major hit. The funk genre faced a lot of scrutiny at the time, often dismissed as vulgar, but his music stuck to depicting life in the favelas.

He put out albums like 'Golpe do Baú,' 'Aqui É Proibidão,' and 'Ritmo do Morro.' Other songs include 'Lá Casa de Ouro,' 'Amor Tô No Corre,' 'Bonde de Sampa,' and 'A Irmã Da Igreja.' He worked with other funk artists like MC Sapão, MC Catra, and MC Cidinho & Doca.

Originally part of a group with several vocalists, he eventually became the sole constant member and kept performing as a solo artist.
