Mc Pitty

Mc Pitty came out of Jardim Peri, a working-class neighborhood in São Paulo. Their 2018 debut single "Penelope Charmosa" caught on quickly in Brazil, with its dancehall rhythm and frontman Pedro Henrique's delivery finding an audience. The song became a radio staple and dance floor fixture.

Other tracks like "Bandida Estilosa" and "Casa dos Feios" followed, keeping a similar energy. The group's lineup included Pedro Henrique and Alemão on vocals, with DJ Batata on turntables and Dudu on percussion. They worked with artists like Anitta and Pedro Sampaio, though their lyrics about favela life sometimes drew criticism.

Songs such as "Eu Cheguei de Egoísta" and "Kit da Semana" continued in that vein. The music stayed grounded in the realities of their neighborhood, delivered with a direct, unpolished energy that connected.
