Mc Quik came together as three friends from Campos dos Goytacazes: MC Chapa, MC Don Juan, and MC Pedrinho. They wrote about what they saw around them, and their song "Garota Bandida" connected with people in Brazil. The track described a woman living on her own terms, and it got people talking about what that meant.
