MDRS came out of São Paulo in the late 1980s. The name stands for "Me Diga Quando o Sol Nascer." Rodrigo Santos sang and played guitar. The band put out their first album, "Agora Você Sabe," in 1991 on EMI. It had the song "Deitado No Sofá," which got a lot of radio play.
They made a few more records after that, like "Eu Sou o Cara," "A Vida Que Eu Escolhi," and "Maldita América." The original group included Wilson Sideral on bass, Edgard Scandurra on guitar, and Paulo Miklos on drums. They played a kind of rock that was popular in Brazil at the time.
