Me and My Drummer was a duo from London that formed in the late 1990s, with Sian Alice Group on vocals and guitar and Dickon Edwards on drums. They put out records like "Don't Be So Hot" in 1998 and "This is Not a Love Song" in 2002, and played live shows that were captured on "Live at the Knitting Factory."
Their song "Don't Be So Hot" caused some trouble with its lyrics and a video that people found too explicit. The band didn't back down from that, saying it was just reflecting real life. Other tracks like "Heavy Weight" and "Phobia" showed their mix of rock, electronic, and punk sounds, with Sian's voice riding over Dickon's drumming.
They stopped putting out new music after a 2005 compilation, but for a few years there they made a noisy, unpolished kind of music that didn't fit neatly into any category.
