Mema Fita

Mema Fita is a Cuban reggaeton group that formed in Havana in the early 2000s. The band includes brothers Alder Delgado (El Chino) and Alexander Delgado (El Chiki), along with their cousin Pablo (El Iroko). Their song "Tamo Trampando" became popular in Cuba, connecting with listeners through its straightforward rhythm and lyrics about everyday life.

Their music sometimes addressed social issues, which led to some friction with authorities. An album called "Rompiendo Cadenas" from 2005 was reportedly kept off Cuban radio, though it circulated informally. Other songs like "Ataque Terrorista" and "Combinação Explosiva" followed a similar direct style.

They released albums including "Trampando en La Habana" in 2003 and "La Leyenda" in 2007. The group worked with other artists occasionally, like on the track "Você Não Sabe" with Fino Du Rap. Their sound mixed Cuban rhythms with reggaeton beats, which felt familiar to local audiences without trying to reinvent the form.
