Mensageiros da Fé

Mensageiros da Fé started as a trio of brothers, José, João, and Joel Santos, in Cachoeira Paulista, Brazil, around 1966. They originally called themselves Os Mensageiros do Rei. Early on, they faced financial difficulties and some resistance from traditional churches, but kept singing with a focus on their Pentecostal faith.

In 1976, they released the album 'Fui Curado', with the title track becoming a national hit in Brazil. The song's message of healing and gratitude connected widely, helping push the band to the forefront of Brazilian gospel music. They toured extensively, playing to large crowds.

Their energetic style and contemporary approach drew criticism from some who felt it was too secular, but they stuck to their mission of spreading gospel through music.
