Metropole started as a three-piece band in Porto Alegre in the late 1990s, originally called Metrô. Luciano Leães sang, Alexandre Kassin played guitar, and Paulo Miklos handled bass. They put out their first album in 2000.
In 2003, they released 'Chipado,' a song about a popular Brazilian snack that became a huge hit. It got played everywhere and turned the band into a familiar name. That same year they put out the album 'Fora da Curva.'
Miklos left in 2006 to work on his own music. Leães and Kassin kept going, releasing a live album in 2007 and later records like 'Depois do Fim' in 2011 and 'Juntos' in 2016. Their songs include 'Do Além' and 'Mais É Verdade Que a Vida Passa.'
