Miami Bros.

Miami Bros formed in 2015 in Salvador's Dois de Julho neighborhood, a group of friends who started playing music together. They performed at local festivals and street corners, working through the usual early struggles of getting heard. Their sound grew from the streets of Bahia, drawing on the area's rhythmic traditions.

In 2018, their track 'Baile Abençoado' caught on and spread quickly. The song's beat and celebration of black culture connected with listeners, though some critics questioned their approach to the pagode baiano style. Miami Bros defended their work as an honest reflection of their hometown's music.

The group includes vocalist Leo Reis, percussionist Dielson, keyboardist Vinicius, and guitarist Marcos. They released their self-titled debut album in 2019, followed by 'Nossa História' in 2020 and 'Baile Abençoado' in 2022. Other songs like 'Bonde do Inferno' and 'Cem Por Cento' show their continued output from Bahia.
