The band's lineup included Almeida on vocals and guitar, Marcelo Bonfá on guitar, Samuel Rosa on bass, and Rodrigo Tavares on drums.
They followed up with albums like "Infinito" in 2009 and "Deixa Eu Te Amar" in 2012, plus acoustic and anniversary releases later on. Songs like "Só Um Passo" and "No No No" kept their sound in rotation, built around Almeida's writing and the group's unpolished, direct approach to melody and emotion.
In 2007, Almeida was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which influenced some of their work during that period. The band faced another challenge in 2010 when Almeida was charged with domestic violence, though they continued making music afterward. Miau's catalog holds a place in Brazilian pop for its earnest, sometimes troubled connection to listeners, without much gloss or pretense.
