Miavono formed around two musicians, Simone Cattaneo and Ale Lagarini, who were later joined by drummer Roberto Faccenda, bassist Erik Maranesi, and vocalist Antonio Bartoccelli. They released their debut album 'Lezioni di Volo' in 2007, which included the song 'For A Moment.'
'For A Moment' became their most recognizable track, a ballad with lyrics by Bartoccelli. The song gained attention in Italy and led to performances at events like the Sanremo Music Festival. In 2012, Bartoccelli faced plagiarism accusations regarding the lyrics of that song, which the band denied.
After their debut, Miavono put out several other albums, including 'Il Mio Canto Libero' in 2009, 'Un Giorno Bellissimo' in 2014, and 'Magari' in 2018.
