Micachu & The Shapes formed in London in 2006 with Mica Levi on vocals and guitar, Raisa Khan on bass, and Marc Pell on drums. Their debut album 'Jewellery' came out in 2009 and got a Mercury Prize nomination. They followed it with 'Never' in 2012 and 'Good Sad Happy Bad' in 2015.
Their songs like 'Calculator' and 'Golden phone' have a rough, electronic feel with distorted guitars and Levi's distinctive voice. The music doesn't settle into one genre, moving between experimental rock and electronic collage.
