Michele McGonigle is a singer-songwriter from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her father was a folk musician, and she grew up singing in local choirs and doing musical theater. She released her first album, 'The Heart of the Matter,' in 2003.
In 2008, she put out an album called 'Sixteen Moons.' The title track became her best-known song, with its Celtic-tinged melody and her clear, steady voice. She took a break from performing for a few years after that, then came back with another album, 'The Compass,' in 2014.
