Michele Tumes

Michele Tumes was a Swiss experimental group active in the 1990s, built around vocalist Ursina Giger, keyboardist Thomas Rohrer, and drummer Manuel Gasser. Their sound leaned on minimalist electronics and Giger's delicate, ethereal voice, creating a sparse and often haunting atmosphere. They released a few albums in that decade, including 'Christe' in 1995 and 'Happy' in 1998.

The track 'Christe' from that 1995 album became their most recognized piece. Its abstract style and exploration of religious themes drew some criticism at the time, but it also found an audience drawn to its quiet, otherworldly quality. The band's work remained relatively sparse, and they seem to have faded from activity after the turn of the millennium.
