Michelle Ferraz

Michelle Ferraz sang with the Brazilian band Os Mutantes in the late 1960s and early 1970s. She joined the group in 1968, around the time they were making their first records. Her voice appears on songs like 'Da Vida,' which came out that same year. The track became one of the band's most recognizable pieces.

Os Mutantes were known for mixing psychedelic rock with Brazilian sounds. Ferraz was part of the original lineup alongside Rita Lee, Arnaldo Baptista, and Sérgio Dias. The group released several albums during her time with them, including 'Os Mutantes' in 1968, 'Mutantes' in 1970, and 'Jardim Elétrico' in 1971.

Her vocal style on 'Da Vida' is often described as ethereal and haunting. Beyond that recording, she also contributed to other tracks in the band's catalog, like 'Deus Na Noite' and 'Imensurável.'

Ferraz's time with Os Mutantes was relatively brief compared to some other members, but her voice remains a distinctive part of their early sound.
