Midnight Youth

Midnight Youth formed in 2006 in Los Angeles with Justin Davis on vocals and guitar, Jeremy Dawson on drums, and Christian Rich on bass. They later added instrumentalist Luke Miller. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2012, followed by 'The World We Built' in 2016.

Their song 'Golden Love' from that first album became their most recognizable track, with Davis's vocals carrying a sense of longing that connected with listeners. Other songs like 'Cavalry' and 'Learning To Fall' showed their range within an indie rock framework that sometimes incorporated electronic touches.

In 2017, Davis spoke publicly about dealing with mental health challenges while working in the music industry. The band's output slowed after that period, leaving those two albums and a handful of songs as their main recorded work.
