Toen Noë op de wat'ren dreef
en zo zijn stukje bij God schreef,
zat hij wat voor zich uit te dromen
wat van de mensheid was gekomen,
wat van Gods schepping overbleef.
"De aarde na de zondeval
werd door de mens een tranendal.
Maar zo ik nageslacht kan mijden,
verdwijnt mijn ras voor alle tijden
zodat weer vrede heersen zal."
Hij voegde toen de daad bij 't woord
en wierp zijn vrouw prompt over boord.
Zo kon geen enkele bekoring plagen.
Zo sleet hij kalm zijn levensdagen,
alleen en van geen mens gestoord.
Maar Belzebub, de slang, sprak: "Heer,
op aarde is geen zonde meer.
Men zal uw tuin zo werkloos maken."
Die zocht toe hoe aan klanten raken,
en vond de evolutieleer.
De aap, die kon de lust van 't kwaad,
plantte zich voort met X-kwadraat.
Daaruit zijn apen voortgekomen
met steeds meer menselijke symptomen.
U kent het droeve resultaat.
Dit potje bleef lang toegedekt,
al is sinds Darwin uitgelekt
dat, bij wat z' in de bijbel scheven,
nog vele duistere punten bleven.
De waarheid hebben wij ontdekt.
