Hij zingt een heel schoon wijsje over sterren van
kristal.
Kabouters lachen luid en strooien bloemen in het
rond.
Elkeen schenkt er wijn van zoete kleuren in je mond,
en kinderen vliegen weg op een witte reuzeduif
van het zonnekind.
Gaande naar huis zwierf hij door een wonderland.
Een oude krekel lacht en liet zijn spoor na in het
zand.
En een groene krab kroop langzaam het golvend schuim
weer uit?
Een regenboog schiet kleuren in zijn bont en diens
gewaad
en klagend kreunt zijn sitar als liefde groeit tot
haat.
Maar de zon wist alle tonen van verdriet bijna uit
bij het zonnekind.
Een zeester brengt een boodschap van een oude brave
man,
vervult zijn hart met wensen om te zijn als superman
en te vliegen als een vogel naar een gaaf en vredig
land.
Wanneer de zon dan onder gaat verdwijnt ook het kind.
Maar treur niet, het komt weder zodra je liefde vind.
Want de nacht wijkt voor de dag als je kijkt met je
geest
naar het zonnekind.
