Miguel Araújo

Miguel Araújo started out in the late 1990s with the band Pluto, which put out two albums before ending in 2006. He went solo and released his first album, "Cinco Dias e Meia," in 2008. His third album, "Crónicas da Cidade Grande," came out in 2012 and included the song "Os Maridos das Outras," which became widely known in Portugal.

His songs often work with acoustic guitar and straightforward arrangements. You can hear it in tracks like "Fui Colher Uma Romã" and "Balada Astral." He has recorded with other Portuguese artists, including Ana Moura and Salvador Sobral.

Araújo grew up in Santo Tirso and has mentioned being drawn to songwriters like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. He has released six studio albums so far, and his writing tends to circle around love, memory, and everyday observations.
