Miliano e Barrabás

Miliano e Barrabás were a Brazilian duo consisting of Antônio Carlos dos Santos (Miliano) on vocals and guitar and José Carlos dos Santos (Barrabás) on accordion and backing vocals. They came from a rural background and their music often reflected that perspective, though they faced some resistance for it in certain circles.

Their most well-known song is "Saudosa Infância," which came out in 1986. The track's themes of childhood and nostalgia struck a chord with many listeners, though it also drew some criticism for being overly sentimental. Other songs in their catalog include "Amor Que Não Convém" and "Distância Cruel."

They released a few albums in the late 80s and early 90s, like Saudade de Você in 1988 and Vou Vivendo in 1990. Their sound was built around Miliano's lead vocals and Barrabás's accordion work, creating a straightforward but evocative style.
