Milton Muniz

Milton Muniz was a Brazilian singer who began his career in the mid-1970s as part of Jorge Ben Jor's Banda do Zé Pretinho. He went solo in 1980 with a self-titled debut album. His second album, 'Raça Brasileira' from 1981, featured the song 'A Sua Procura,' which became a significant hit. He worked with musicians like bassist Luizão Maia and drummer Robertinho Silva in his trio.

His music drew from samba and bossa nova, and he recorded songs such as 'Danadinha' and 'De Alma e Coração.' He released several albums through the 1980s and 1990s, including 'Coração Paulista' in 1984 and 'Sentimento Brasileiro' in 1996.

Muniz collaborated with artists including Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, and Djavan. His lyrics sometimes addressed social themes, which brought attention alongside his music. He remained active in Brazilian music until his passing.
