That song's success led to several albums through the 1980s and 1990s, including "Milton Vilela" in 1981 and "O País dos Brinquedos" in 1983. His music was often described as simple and heartfelt, with another well-known track being "A Banca do Guarda."
Vilela died in 2008. His songs, particularly "Teco-teco," continue to be played in Brazil.
